The solar year comes to another
beginning. 1997 has been a year of big waves, ups and downs.
DoubleMirrors.com is now dedicated in memory of Dr. John Weil,
who was murdered on Dec 8 1997. He
was a great man, one of the 12 Dolphins. His absence is a loss
for us all. That a human being of his spiritual magnitutde- a
man of compassion, kindness, and good spirit- was murdered is
an indictment on us all. May God bless his soul and grant him
eternal peace, love and happiness.
In fact men like Dr John Weil never die. He has been immortal
from the moment he decided to dedicate his life to helping the
weak and the suffering, as a Psychiatrist specializing in Freudian
child care.
One story demonstrating his compassion and good will:
An angry 7 year old hyper active kid was in his office after
driving his teachers and parents nuts, cursing and screaming.
He put his feet up on Dr Weil's desk, and didn't like the fact
that he was politely asked not to. So he marched outside and
stomped all over Dr Weil's rose garden in front of the house.
Wondering why nobody came out to yell at him like he was expec
ting, he crept quietly back up the stairs to the office on the
second floor. The door was ajar, and he peaked in to see Dr Weil
sitting at the desk, with a look of sadness and peace he will
never forget (replace anger with sadness he would later teach).
From then on they were friends. When the boy's father decided
stubbornly to stop paying for therapy, Dr Weil continued to see
him for 6 years- for free.
That kid was me. And if am anything close to the dream of
full Dolphin Jedi that I dream of becoming it is because of his
help. He is my role model. He was the best example of what we
all should be striving to be I have ever encountered.
God is Great.
